This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.

Main Functions
The CAD/CAM Engineer is a key member of the Flexible/Rigid Flex Electronics/Heater's Product Division. They will provide engineering support and ensure the execution of customer design review, DFM, manufacturing traveler creation, construction stack ups, material LT verification as well as technical support of the customer.  

Responsibilities will include working with customer design engineers as well as internal engineering to develop and support process to enable production. The CAD/CAM Engineer will perform CAD/CAM work, write production methods, conduct contract reviews, and assure all customer requirements are accounted for and documented.

Position will require travel as deemed necessary to support customers, Fralock team members as well product manufacturing locations.


Typical Duties

  • CAD/CAM tool creation
  • Create scripts to aid in CAM automation
  • Creating written production methods for building products in production
  • Work on product design and development for existing and new products, which includes choosing the right material, stack, design, and manufacturing process.


Required Skills

  • Understanding of electronics, semiconductor, or flex circuits production and assembly
  • Experience with technical functions pertaining to electronics, semiconductor, or flex circuits production and assembly
  • Manufacturing processes and techniques as well as electronics assembly requirements.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and standards
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and problem solve
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings


Preferred Skills

  • Self motivated, results and action oriented, and a strong team player
  • A hands on aptitude (process, mechanical, electrical, DIY)
  • Expert knowledge of CAM350
  • Process Engineering Knowledge
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 or ISO 13485
  • Class III Medical Manufacturing Standards
  • Experience in PCB, Molding, Stamping & Electronics Materials
  • Strong understanding of Circuit Manufacturing


Education Requirements

  • BS in engineering or related course of study is preferred


Experience Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in: Flexible Circuit Design, Flexible Circuit Manufacturing, PCBA Design/Manufacturing, Laminate or Thin film engineering or manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing traveler creation in support of Flexible Circuit Design, Flexible Circuit Manufacturing, PCBA Design/Manufacturing
